As the poet wrote- “Accessories make the iPhone”. (Okay, a poet didn’t write that, but I needed SOME lead in into this awesome iPhone accessory contest) Let’s get right to it…
We reviewed the Agent 18 SlimCase. ($34.95 from Agent 18.) Loved it!

We reviewed the MovieWedge stand. ($9.95 from MovieWedge.) Awesome!

We reviewed the Tenqa SP-99 Wireless Stereo Bluetooth Speaker. ($79.99 from Amazon.) Very useful!
Now YOU! can win all three. Here’s how…
To win all three iPhone accessories tells us what iPhone app you have purchased in the last two months THAT YOU LOVE! And why. (Be specific please!)
All comments that answer both questions will be entered into a random drawing that will be made Sunday, October 18, at midnight ET.
Winner much be in the USA (sorry, everyone else).
Items will be shipped together standard USPS services.

While I have gotten many apps lately the one that I “love” would have to be PS Mobile. The reason is many times I would want to take pictures in poor lighting with my iphone and would hmm and hah about whether I should because I knew they wouldn’t come out great and I would have to upload them to my computer and take them into Photoshop to fix them etc etc. I love this app because its simple to use and lets me get a little creative as well! It makes my little iphone camera fun again! Love it!

The one app that I love and use daily is Tiger Woods PGA 10. I have a hour and half commute and it keeps me busy after a long day of work. I can just relax and work on my virtual swing. It is by far the best game I have played on the iphone.
I look forward to my commute when I have this jewel on my iphone.

EVERNOTE: I had be frustrated with not being able to capture and sync notes with my iPhone. After reading your article about Evernote I installed it, tried it, and I’m sold. It’s incredibly simple to use, allows a number of types of media to be stored, and I can access it anywhere.

SCRABBLE! While it is a well implemented version of the classic board game, being able to play against friends on Facebook is its best feature.

Pocket Informant. I use this app on a daily basis. I would not know where I was going without this application. It has so many features, including to dos.

BeeJiveIM – my office won’t let us install ANYTHING on our computers, and this let’s me be a little “stealthy” and IM with my wife during the day at work. With the push notification, I don’t even have to have the phone “on” to have her initiate a conversation!

I actually like the idisk app for the iphone. I use it to share files with friends and coworkers on the go when I don’t have my laptop with me. Works wonders!

BeeJive IM.
I just got an iPhone and realized quickly that I could go without turning on my laptop at home. The only way I am able to do so is with BeeJive. I am still able to communicate with friends, family and coworkers easily. At first I was taken back by the $10 price tag, but after a month of using it I am very happy with the purchase.

My favorite app in the last two months is Converter, because it’s the most Apple-like conversion utility that I’ve seen, which means it’s a joy to use.

Com2Us’ Homerun Battle. Dang this game is addictive. I had been reading about it for a while, but put off purchasing it. I then broke down (I don’t typically play many games, but prefer to read news on short breaks) and tried the “Lite” version. Game play is great and I love having a game I can sit and play and just burn up a few minutes of down time, no heavy thinking involved (e.g. vs. puzzle games).

I couldn’t just list 1. I’m going to list 3, because 2 are via Cydia (don’t know if that counts in this contest) and one was purchased in the app store but was free.
The first and most important of the 3 listed here is BiteSMS. It is a replacement sms application for jailbroken iPhones that allows quick composing and replying of text messages from any screen without having to close what you are doing to open the TxtMessage program. It is amazing. This is what iPhone texting should have been all along. $7.95 http://www.bitesms.com/
2nd is Chronus via Cydia. It quickly and easily backs up many of my app store apps. With all the updates Apple has released lately Chronus has been a God-send. It has allowed me to easily backup and save my app data, like bookmarks and notes in my BibleReader, high scores and game saves in my games just about everything. It was well worth the $7. You can use the free version, but paying allows you to take more than one backup and allows you to backup many applications with the press of one button. http://kiwa.lunarmania.com/sus.....page_id=50
The second application is Quicken Online Mobile. QOM is free via iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/WebObj.....3&mt=8
And I’ve just got it this week. And while I have some complaints about it, I love the fact that I can have easy access to my checking account and keep track of my funds. It partners with the free service Quicken Online…which I came to because my MS Money wouldn’t activate on my rebuilt bootcamp partition so I started searching for alternatives. http://quicken.intuit.com/pers.....gement.jsp
The online version is great. I really love it. It works flawlessly with my bank and credit card companies. And the iPhone companion app is really good too…with one complaint. The data in the iPhone app doesn’t appear to sync from the server to the app everytime you open it. Usually it only gets new data once a day or whenever you sign in to Quicken Online from a computer or browser. But any transactions I enter into the iPhone application quickly appear in my online version.
I think the problem is that the online version only updates the data from the banks once a day or whenever you sign in and hit the refresh button. I wish the iPhone app could ‘refresh’ or ‘download’ new data from my banks. I would hope they would update their application to allow data refresh…I would gladly pay money for this type of application that was more instantaneous. But for free, it is a good start and I’m glad I have it.
whew…sorry for so much. I just kept thinking of things I wanted to share with everyone.

I’m taken with iNews. It’s a slick, glossy RSS reader with pretty much any type of integration you might want. I read about this contest in it and used “Read it Later’ to save the page until after work so I could post this. It rocks.

I bought the CoPilot NA GPS program and it’s great, especially for the price. It picks up a signal much faster than my standalone Garmin Nuvi. It has lots of POI’s and it upgraded with TTS.

I just got RedLaser and it is the coolest UPC scanning app. I sell computer software and video games and I pick most of it up at garage sales…this app is great to scan a game, movie, or other item with a bar code and it will automatically find the item online and show what prices it’s going for on many sites, including amazon. I picked up a Quake game for N64 for $5 and it sold online for $35!

I recently got an app called iheartradio, which allows you to listen to over 350 different radio stations. Also, iheartradio is incredibly innovative since it’s streamed on the internet in Apple’s high quality AAC format. This enables those who love to listen to their favorite radio stations (mine is Q104.3) through the iPhone’s or iPod Touch’s Wi-Fi connectivity instead. Honestly, what’s more awesome then rocking out to some free tunes on the radio while even being able to text or phone in to win prizes. Usually, they can be concert tickets to classic rock & roll acts such as Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, other artists/bands, and maybe even cash depending on what radio station you like to listen to!
