I love my Livescribe Pulse Pen. I use it all the time to take notes and record random thoughts. I now have a Livescribe pad on my desk at home and one in my work study. That way I never actually need to CARRY the large notebooks. Instead I just write what I need with the Pulse Pen and then, when convenient, recreate the notes in my computer. I slao carry a small, light notepad in my briefcase for quick jots on the go. It has truly become invaluable to me and has allowed me to completely cut my ties to Windows XP Tablet.

Now Livescribe has upped their game with new and improves products.

They just introduced a high capacity 4GB titanium Pulse™ smartpen. 4GB (mine has 2GB) means you can record over 400 hours of notes. Better still, the release on the new pen notes…

It packs plenty of room for applications on your smartpen. Stay tuned – they’re coming soon!

Apps for the Pulse smartpen!!! How cool!

In addition the company has introduced a new Pro Charging Cradle that holds the smartpen vertically rather than horizontally.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
