It surely wasn’t a coincidence that Apple decided to announce three new items to its product line just days before Microsoft officially launched Windows 7.

What’s even less of a coincidence is the three new Mac ads apple has just released which pull no punches and go right out after Windows 7.

I have always had a passion for gear and gadgets. It all started for me with the release of the very first Palm Pilot. I've always had an interest in handheld electronics. From handheld PDAs, to cell phones, Mp3 players, watches and other products, I'm the first person my friends, family and colleagues call when they need advice on tech. I have roots in the online tech. forum community. I served as the Administrator to Howard Forums.com and as a Moderator at both Treo Central.com and Blackberry Forums.net. Under the screen name “lgreenberg” I've amassed 50,000+ postings. I also manage my own YouTube channel under the user name larrygreenberg. I'm always eager to help.

Wow, “pull no punches” is right! But pretty funny to boot.

The typical Windows-centric bloggers and forum posters are all up in arms about it …

The typical Windows-centric bloggers and forum posters are playing right into Apple’s plans… lol

I love the ‘Trust Me’ one, thought the other two were a bit obscure in terms of the fact that a WinXP->Win7 upgrade means a full wipe.

Hmmm. I *used* to think that these ads were funny. However, I’m increasingly getting the sickening feeling that you can make nice looking computers but still be a smug, self-satisfied, petty organisation…

I really laughed at the first ads, but now I think that if you are that confident about your product, there is no need to put down others to make you look better.

I am not a Windows or an Apple fan, I like both, but this is getting petty, and lately, the whole Apple atitude kind of sucks. It does noe make want to be associated to the brand at all.
