I haven't found the performance to be satisfactory under WINE or Windows XP. I was thinking of installing Dungeon Siege to check out some of its mods, as well as working my way through the old Ultimate RPG Archives collection from Interplay.

I’ll be curious to read your impressions of Torchlight. There will be many more little RPG's on my netbooks that I'll review ... and some not-so-little ones and new ones like Torchlight as well!

Thanks for the kind words! I've got it running under WINE off a mounted ISO with no problems. It's not as satisfying a RPG experience as running U7 with Exult (which runs quite well on the EEE as well), but it's a mild diversion when I need a break.

Amusingly enough, installing Torchlight on my netbook (an Asus EEE 1005ha) recently got me to thinking about Hexplore, so I dug up my old disk and installed it as well.

I’ve got it running under WINE off a mounted ISO with no problems.
