As many readers know, being tech-savvy causes friends and relatives and THEIR friends and relatives to petition for tech help, and finding these folks scattered throughout a large city can be tricky. Traffic snarls and roadwork can really put a damper on arriving at destinations in a timely fashion, especially if you've got school-age kids with all sorts of appointments and after-school goings-on popping up at the last minute. Having access to spot-on current conditions navigation that you can get with Navigator to better "defrag" free time is a precious commodity for me! This is a great prize, and I think the winners will be pleased. Good luck to the entrants!

I don’t have an iPhone, so this doesn’t constitute an entry, but I just would like to add my two cents since I won a year subscription from over at Justanothermobilemonday.com for my Pantech Matrix Pro I won at here Gear Diary, hopefully without sounding like a flack.

As many readers know, being tech-savvy causes friends and relatives and THEIR friends and relatives to petition for tech help, and finding these folks scattered throughout a large city can be tricky. I just started a new career that requires me to travel through the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. I can't afford a conventional GPS unit until things take off. What were we talking about...oh yeah...I could use a navigation software for my iPhone.
Thanks,
The absent minded traveler.

Since I'm a directional moron, this will keep me from getting lost. I honestly got lost going to a client who was 1.2 miles from my house according to Google Maps. I've been in my house for about 3 years and I get lost still going to Best Buy. It's 2.5 miles away. Navigation on the iPhone would make not look like a tool bag. :)

Thanks to Wayne’s advice, I’m picking up an iPhone over the weekend. But I just got my 1st iPhone 3GS on the 29th, and wow. 'WANT', now that is another story. Been using the Cobra brand of GPS (yes, they are better known for their CB radios) and it is built like a CB radio (6"x4"x3"). So, the $200 Garmin was going to be a possible purchase for my upcoming cross-country move this December. (Points (a) and (b)) It sure would be nice to use the iPhone for it and not clutter my dashboard with several devices (especially from a theft-deterrent point of view).

At my age, I have sadly come to the conclusion that all of my ‘NEEDS’ have been/ are being met. To this day she still calls me asking for directions to the doctor, dentist or to tell me she's at a certain location "how do I get home?" Although I lived in Tucson for 13 years and know my way around pretty well, I'm starting to forget cross streets etc. Having a copy of AT&T Navigator would not only help me direct my daughter away from the bad areas of Tucson but it might slow down the graying of my hair :p

I moved from AZ almost 7 years ago while my youngest daughter stayed behind for school and work. I need to find different houses throughout the day. I currently just use my iPhone maps and just read directions off the list. It would be nice to just listen to the AT&T nav app and pay more attention to the road. I have thought of getting a standalone gps but I want my iPhone to do everything for me. It's close now but the telnav AT&T app would just seal the deal.

The app would perfect and so very needed. I do roofing repair and construction. 1. Bad for the environment
2. My wife will have none of that.
I think those pretty much cover it. So in conclusion, please let me have this in order to save the marriage and the planet.
Thank you.

I need this because I am very soon to move to a new and strange city. While I don’t mind driving around in circles all that much there are other things to consider.

1. Bad for the environment<br

I need this application to help me find all the places I need to go both for business and for pleasure along the way. I would use this to help me find the quickest routes through unknown city traffic. I think that would be awesome. I would also love the instant access to the most current POI database to help me find some place to eat or stop and visit a new tourist destination.

I travel quite a bit for my job, both in state via a personal vehicle or out of state via airplane and rental cars. The downside to most of the GPS systems for the Iphone is no live traffic. I used TeleNav when I was on Sprint and loved it. This service would allow me to avoid the traffic in my area as much as possible.

This would be great. She calls often enough to ask for directions when she's out and about. This could be really helpful. It could also be great to avoid odd detours when we're traveling. We've been hit by some very poorly marked detours before when in strange country and had no idea how to continue our route.

While I don’t need it that much, this would be great for my wife.
