You have to assume that the parameters they are using to "match" are the same as the things that are important to you. In other words you said what you liked and didn't like but not WHY. They attempt to use a questionnaire about your likes/dislikes to minimize the problem, but the wrong assumptions are still very possible. I have to say that when I tried it, the choices seemed to get worse as I proceeded, not better. So far, I'm not terribly impressed with their ability to help me find apps. I would much rather that Apple refined their categorization scheme. Right now it isn't granular enough. You can't drill down very far so there are still too many results. Why, for example, in the Games/Role-Playing category, am I looking at a driving/shoot-em-up with minor story elements on the the same page as a fantasy RPG and a dice roller? Lack of granularity - that's why. Another layer or two of granularity plus improved keyword/description searching would go a LONG way to improving the situation.
