Amazon is not taking their new competition sitting down. I saw this ad watching television tonight, and almost did a double-take; I’ve seen print ads for the Kindle, but prime-time commercials are a whole new level of publicity.

Barnes and Noble has been running videos in-store explaining the nook, along with tons of signage and pamphlets, and that annoying Sony Reader ad has been playing non-stop for the last few months. My theory is that Amazon is trying to combat any lost consumer mindshare through these commercials.

Have you seen the Amazon, Sony, and Barnes and Noble videos? Which did you like best? Will any of them influence you or a family member in your eReader purchases? Share below!
