A common issue many of us run into is how to quickly exchange contact information with someone. Â Sure, most people still rely on business cards — but how many times have you misplaced a business card after an important meeting? Â There’s good ol’ email — but then you have to search through emails to find the person’s contact information among the 300 messages you received last week. Â There are specialized applications — like Bump for iPhone or Gwabbit for BlackBerry — that promise to exchange and save the contact information. Â Why not make it easier and use a feature almost all phones have anyway? Â Why not just use SMS?
That’s the idea behind the SMS VCard Add-On for BlackBerry smartphones. Â Using this application, BlackBerry users can receive, import and send contacts using the SMS protocol. Â Now, if one of your colleagues has a Nokia and you have a BlackBerry, you can swap contact information with Vcards directly through SMS. Â If both parties use BlackBerry devices, they can likewise exchange Vcard contact information using the SMS VCard Add-On application.
Additional features include:
You can get the SMS VCard Add-On directly from the Gear Diary Software Store (and even download it wirelessly if you have the Gear Diary BlackBerry App Store installed).
The software is regularly $1.99, but if you use the coupon code GDWinterBliss at checkout, you will save an additional 15%.
