Now, with Home Screen Customizer, you can customize the home screen of your Windows Mobile 6.5 devices. It allows you to rearrange the panels to your liking by simply pressing & holding, then dragging the panels around. It also features plug-in capability that allows other panel developers to integrate their panels into the home screen.

Features:-

  • Weather, favorite contacts, and search panels for your home screen. More panels to come.
  • Add or delete panels from the home screen
  • Rearrange home screen panels
  • Set favorite panel
  • Allows other panel developers to show add form or edit form

I would say that this application is a definite must have if you are using the paneled home screen of Windows Mobile 6.5.

You will be able to download this app for free from Marketplace on your PC.

On July 15, 2011, Microsoft closed allowing downloads from Windows Marketplace without using the Marketplace App on Windows Mobile. Attempts to connect using the Marketplace App fail. Many, many people are blogging and forum’ing about this.

Bottom line: The product is not available that easily anymore. Does ANYONE have the downloaded object. Please email it to me at dsacker@gmail.com

Got the MarketPlace App working, downloaded and installed. Not working with error message, “An unexpected error has occurred in TitaniumAlloy.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information. File or assembly name ‘Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Telephony, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35′, or one of its dependencies, was not found.”

    Oh well.
