The 2nd annual Android Developers Challenge just wrapped up and its winners have been announced. Â Why is this important? Â Its because the applications these developers have created will soon find their way into the Android Market, and then on to our Android devices (Droid anyone?)
Developers were able to submit applications in the following categories: Â Education and Reference, Entertainment, Games- Arcade/Action, Games- Casual/Puzzle, Lifestyle, Media, Productivity/Tools, Social Networking, Travel and Misc.
The winners of the ADC get $150,000 for the top overall application. Â Not too shabby. Â Now add that seed to whatever they will charge in the Android Market (hopefully not to much). Â Its a nice way to make a living if you can do it.

For a list of all the winners in all the categories, go to the ADC site here.
After looking at all the winners, the one I thought looked like fun, FxCamera. Â Its a way to add photo effects to shots taken with the phone’s camera.
Note: Not all of these application are in the Android Market as of yet due to the rules of the contest stating that eligible software titles mustn’t be in the Android Marketplace prior to August 1.
