NearbyNow has created several iPhone applications for well-known magazine titles, including Seventeen, Brides, and Runner’s World.  I can’t say that I’ve checked any of them out because, well, I’m not a teenage girl, I’m not a wedding planner, and I hate running.  However, I am required to do holiday shopping, so this caught my attention.

NearbyNow has created an “aggregated” holiday gift guide application for the iPhone.  It’s called the Holiday Gift Guide.  I know, go figure.  The application is the result of collaborations with nine major publication titles and several national retailers, including InStyle, Cosmo, Seventeen, Nordstrom, and Bon-Ton Stores.  The application features the ability to find local stores that carry the product in which you’re interested and to reserve it.  It’s also searchable by gender, price, or interests.
