Scottevest – Now With Even Clearer Vision

I love the X-Ray effect Scottevest has for each of their jackets. It is a smart approach since seeing the jacket itself tells little about what any given item holds since they are all designed to HIDE the fact that they are filled with gear. Until today, however, the x-Ray for Scottevest’s Signature series was a but dated. Now the GameBoy (ah the memories) is history. In it’s place you’ll find an iPhone 3GS, a Blackberry Bold and a Kindle which, come to think about it, looks an awful lot like my Scottevest when I flew out from New Jersey the other day!.

Same cool effect, new current gear. Check it out over on the Scottevest site .

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen

Unfortunately, they aren’t interested in making sure your order gets to you. Placed my order nearly 2 weeks ago. Even the CEO says there is “nothing we can do” regarding getting me the 300 dollars worth of merchandise I purchased. Very sorry that I placed the order. May be good for US residents, but everyone else on the planet should beware.

Reminds me of the good ol' days, sneaking multitudes of goodies into a movie theater under my coat. This thing sure would have made those endeavors much easier. Though it looks like it still can't beat my greatest achievement of getting an entire pizza, still in the box, into the movies.

Of course I had to lay it sideways under my coat and all the grease slid out of the box and down the side of my pants, so perhaps I should brag too much.

Speaking of the Scottvests though, I was on a plane recently and found a bunch of the little “pocket cards” in the seat-back in front of me. Must have been a sign, since I've been planning to get one of these coats for the longest time.
