Tunewear has just released their new Boomtune Bomb II Stereo, and with a name like that — one which defies anyone to say it five times quickly, perhaps we should slow down and take a look …

The speakers are available in either a matte black or bright red jewel smooth-textured rubber paint coating. The speakers stick together for easy storage with magnets on their bases, and they hide retractable cables in their bodies. Untwisting the top of the Boomtune speaker adjusts the speakers’ loudness and bass levels, and they are driven by a rechargeable battery that can be replenished via USB.

I have no idea what the Boomtune Bomb IIs sound like, but they look neat … and that’s worth something, right?

BOOMTUNE BOMB II STEREO is a compact speaker set with a big stereo sound for an improved portable sound experience. Sound is projected 360 degrees around the speakers which is ideal for a more open and robust sound when listening to music or watching videos on your MacBook, iPod, iPhone or other portable device.

Retractable cables are hidden inside the body of each speaker. One cable connects the left and right speakers together and the other cable connects with your music device via a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack. Volume level can be controlled from BOOMTUNE using the volume switch. Untwist the top of each BOOMTUNE for a louder sound and more bass.

The built-in rechargeable battery prevents unnecessary battery consumption. The included USB charging connector can be plugged into the USB port on your personal computer or a USB charger unit for charging the speakers. The lamp on BOOMTUNE shines red while the battery is charging, and turns to blue when charging is completed. The internal battery is very eco-friendly and can be recharged over 500 times.

BOOMTUNE BOMB II STEREO is available in two choices, matte black or bright red jewel. Both have elegant casing, rubber paint coating and a smooth texture.

Each speaker unit is compact and there is a magnet on the bottom of the speakers which allows you attach the two speakers together for better portability. Simply place the speakers and cable into the carrying pouch and take BOOMTUNE anywhere you want to go.
