It may have been cancelled, but science fiction show Dollhouse is returning to burn off its final episodes in 2 hour blocks. It’s bittersweet, really; on the one hand, a great show will be gone that much faster. On the other hand, Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Firefly, Serenity), Alexis Denisof (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel), and Ray Wise (Reaper, Twin Peaks) will all be guest starring.

Aren’t up on Dollhouse? Check out the show’s Hulu page.

So set your DVR for an amazing and geek-tastic 2 hours of tv! It’s on FOX tonight at 8 ET.

Carly has been a gadget fiend for a long time, going back to her first PDA (a Palm M100). She quickly went from researching what PDA to buy to following tech news closely and keeping up with the latest and greatest stuff. She loves writing about ebooks because they combine her two favorite activities; reading anything and everything, and talking about fun new tech toys. What could be better?

    Michael-

I understand…it’s a tough show. It started out REALLY poorly, and if it wasnt for the fact that I follow some Joss Whedon news I wouldn’t have wanted to see if the back 6 were as good as promised. They were uneven but certainly better than the first bit.

Many fans have said it would have been more successful as a miniseries…I tend to agree, I think the longer they dragged out the premise the harder it became to walk a fine line between “look at how evil these people are” and “root for the evil people!” which is one of Joss Whedon’s favorite tropes, but it was tough to do…especially if you only tuned in occasionally.
