Gboard, making G-Mail easier

At Dan’s urging, I recently made the move from Mobile Me to G-Mail.  I use multiple computers and using a cloud based e-mail, contact and calendar service just works much better for me now.

I was seriously excited when I laid eyes on the Gboard, a G-Mail friendly keyboard add-on.

The keyboard, which sells for $19.99, contains shortcuts to all the important G-Mail tasks and plugs in to any available USB port on your computer.

I have one coming for full review and can’t wait to put it through the paces.

Check out the brief promotional video on how it all works below, or visit the Gboard web site to learn more or to order one.

I have always had a passion for gear and gadgets. It all started for me with the release of the very first Palm Pilot. I've always had an interest in handheld electronics. From handheld PDAs, to cell phones, Mp3 players, watches and other products, I'm the first person my friends, family and colleagues call when they need advice on tech. I have roots in the online tech. forum community. I served as the Administrator to Howard Forums.com and as a Moderator at both Treo Central.com and Blackberry Forums.net. Under the screen name “lgreenberg” I've amassed 50,000+ postings. I also manage my own YouTube channel under the user name larrygreenberg. I'm always eager to help.

This looks amazing! I'm looking forward to your review, and then I may place my own order! ;-)

Interesting! I'll have to see the review to decide if it is something for me.

Something I want for sure if it works as well as it promises!

The idea is cool. At first glance it seems like the keys for the more frequent actions (compose, archive and reply) should be much larger and more accessible.
Not being able to label is a great shortcoming. I use labels on more than 50% of my emails.
Why not sell Gmail keyboard stickers instead? :)

For the new comment system, can top contributors become moderators or achieve a special status?

I doubt that we will open up moderation, but we do recognize top commenters in the far right column. :-)

So why if, the person above me (qwerty58) has 24 comments and the person (Tariq Bamadhaj) on the top commenters list only has 22, isn't qwerty58 on the top commenters list. Thanks for clarifying! By the way the new commenting system is great!

I'm going to allow this comment, and then I am going to basically begin moderating all posts by you and qwerty58; you have posted a huge number of comments tonight from both accounts, but your IP addresses show as the same, and that is simply obnoxious. Maybe it's time to take a break?

I was just reposting all of my comments that were deleted after the switch. Sorry if you thought I was some sort of spammer. (I would think the same thing in your place. Sorry.
