What We’re Using – Our Gear

Thanks to Gear Diary many of us get to try and then review the latest, and sometimes greatest, in electronic gear. (Truth is, most of us would be trying the gear ANYWAY but Gear Diary makes the obsession a bit more legit by letting us review it too!)

Some of the gear gets reviewed and then never touch again. Other items, however, quickly become part of our day-to-day routine. You see, there is often a gap between what we review and what we actually use. Writing at Gear Diary often means that our personal gear changes more frequently than it otherwise might. So the question presented to the team was rather simple- “What gear are you actually USING on a day to day basis RIGHT NOW?”

The answers reveal both a good deal of overlap AND the wide diversity of writers Judie has collected here on Gear Diary.

So what DO we actually use? Carly, our newest GD Editor’s list is above. To see the whole team’s list, however, visit the Gear Diary Facebook page over the next few days as we add the entire team to the list.

And while you are there you might want to add a comment with YOUR gear to this note. Why? Simple! We want to know. Moreover, we are expanding our Holiday Giveaway, and we will be picking random readers who have shared their Gear List to win some of the loot! In fact, tomorrow night one lucky reader will win the USB Fever 3000mAh Super Charger External Battery Pack for iPhone 3G and 3GS that Judie just reviewed.

So tell us- What’s In Your Gadget Bag??

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
