With a wave of the Magic Wand– poof, your TV station’s been changed

Ok, who hasn’t waved a wooden spoon around the house and proclaimed it to be a magic wand? Who hasn’t used whatever was handy?  It got even worse after the Harry Potter movies came out. Everyone went wizard and wand crazy. But, we have all done this. Magic wands are fun. They just are!  Now imagine if there was a real magic wand that could do something kinda cool….like maybe switch TV channels?

Well, the folks over at ThinkGeek have just the thing, the Magic Wand Programmable TV Remote.

From the description on the site:

Our Wand may not make legions of kobold minions explode into flames, but it will learn up to 13 commands from your existing remote controls and map them to particular magical motions. Flick the wand from side to side to flip the channels, twist the wand to turn up the volume. A beam of light will shoot out the unicorn tail hair and magic will happen!

All I can say is, I know what I want in my Christmas stocking this year, and it will even fit!

I was pretty excited. I do love Harry Potter. But $90. Yikes. For a few dollars more I could get a logitech harmony type remote.

I'm a cheapskate with little money so I was thinking around $20-30 would be my 'buy-it-now' price. But I can't justify $90. Looks cool and fun though.
