Along with the recent discovery of a 4th generation of the iPhone being field tested comes traces of a new iPhone operating system, 3.1.3 as well.
According to sources Apple is testing the firmware version 3.1.3, a minor update for current generation of iPhones, and OS 4.0 for upcoming iPhone.
The 3.1.3 software version hasn’t even been seeded to developers yet for testing so we’re not sure how soon we’ll see it but anything’s possible with Apple.
As always, if you’re running a Jailbroken iPhone and the update gets released, do not upgrade your phone until you get word from the iPhone Dev Team or you’ll lose your Jailbreak.
We discussed our hopes and dreams for the iPhone OS here on Gear Diary before. Here’s hoping the 3.1.3 contains something more that everyone’s favorite “bug fixes.”

I knew Apple had balls.
