As the initial reviews (initial panning?) of the Barnes and Nobel Nook continue to swirl, the next contestant for eReader dominance is getting ready for its debut. Sporting the tag-line “More than an eReader, QUE means business.” Plastic Logic’s entry into the eReader fray will debut at CES in just a few weeks.

The teaser invitation tells us little we did not already know, but it does highlight the fact that it is being positioned as a business device (“QUE™ was made for how busy professionals work. Thousands of documents and all of your favorite publications now at your fingertips.”), will provide access to its own “QUE store” and sports an (apparently) innovative user interface.

We’ll have all the details when the device debuts at CES on January 7th. The teaser site can be found HERE.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen

I can't quite explain what it is, but I'm oddly fascinated by the Que. Hope it lives up to the hype!
