Welcome back to the GearGames weekly video game release feature here at Gear Diary! Believe it or not … there are a couple of genuine game releases this week! First off, there is the ‘we know the franchise is dying but please don’t interpret this as a desperation move’ release of Guitar Hero: Van Halen, which seems destined to meet with the increasingly common ‘ho hum’ response the franchise is getting. But there is also a ‘just after Christmas’ release for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, the latest entry into the series and this time exclusively for the Wii.
Other than that … well, once again there is Twin Sector, which STILL doesn’t seem very promising, an obscure PSP game called Savage Moon: The Hera Campaign, and an unlikely listing showing the release of the upcoming DS version of Dragon’s Lair. There are a few other releases I haven’t mentioned, so check out the list!

- Guitar Hero: Van Halen
- 0 Day Attack on Earth

- Guitar Hero: Van Halen

- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
- Guitar Hero: Van Halen
- Pallurikio

- Guitar Hero: Van Halen

- Savage Moon: The Hera Campaign

- Dragon’s Lair

- Twin Sector
- Supreme Ruler 2020 Global Crisis
Some notes from last week:
- Europa Universalis III: Heir to the Throne
- Twin Sector
- Consider this a ‘must have’ if you are a fan of the original game!
- The European release is not getting any favorable reviews.
What games am I playing now? As I keep saying, I’m still playing catch-up with the fall season, though I am getting closer to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel … so here are a few active games:
- PC: Dragon Age: Origins – I am going back through with another mage, despite not finishing all endings yet. I just love the way it plays!
- PC: Torchlight – taking yet another mage through the maze after completing my warrior and long since finishing my first mage!
- PSP: Buzz! Quiz World – loads of fun to play with more options than the original!
- Mac: Avernum 6 – I just really love this game.
So what are you playing? Chime in below!
Enjoy gaming!
