The Nexus One just cant get enough coverage and spotlight. With all the latest posts flying around the Web, who knows what Google will actually have to say on the 5th. According to Techcrunch, Google may be rolling out a data backup solution included with the Nexus One. For all those currently running out-of-the-box android phones, that could be great news for you in the future. Hacked Android phones currently have to use modified software that allows complete phone backup and recovery from your SD card. Phones without this modified software must rely on apps and other software to get the job done. Google does a great job integrating contacts and calendar with Gmail, but leaves the rest up to you.

The Nexus One will have an optional dock that allows charging, playback and the now rumored Nexus data backup. Techcrunch speculates that the backup will be native to the Nexus One, and will more than likely include a desktop client for your PC. Mobile backup services are becoming more and more available through online companies and third-party apps but it would will be nice to see native Android backup software included. We can only speculate with all the “leaked” info about the Nexus, at least until Nexus Independence Day comes on January 5, 2010.
