Welcome back to the GearGames weekly video game release feature here at Gear Diary! I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year! A few new releases to kick off the new year! The big release on my radar is the sequel to the excellent and under-rated Divine Divinity, Divinity II: Ego Draconis. This game takes the franchise from isometric perspective to full 3D, and also is released on the XBOX360! Sadly, everything I have heard from my European friends (it has been out a couple of months there) says this is truly a PC centric game – but a good one when played on PC!
Aside from that, we get Darksiders for the X360 and PS3, which is getting solid early reviews, and Bayonetta, another action game for the X360 and PS3 that is also getting nice early looks. There are a few other games coming out this week, so check out the list!

- Divinity II: Ego Draconis
- Darksiders
- Bayonetta
- Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond

- Darksiders
- Bayonetta
- Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond
- Borderlands: Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot

- My Fitness Coach 2: Workout & Nutrition

- No New Releases

- No New Releases

- Fast Food Panic
- Dreamer: Zoo Keeper

- Divinity II: Ego Draconis
Some notes from last week:
- Borderlands: Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot X360
- Sadly they STILL haven’t lifted the level cap above 50, but there is plenty of mindless killing mayhem here for those looking for some shooting with absolutely no RPG or skill-enhancement possibility.
What games am I playing now? As I keep saying, I’m still playing catch-up with the fall season, though I am getting closer to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel … so here are a few active games:
- PC: Dragon Age: Origins – starting to wind down in anticipation of getting Divinity II this week … and still waiting for my Mac copy …
- PC: Torchlight – replaying yet again … in Netbook mode!
- PC: Wizards & Warriors – classic style RPG from 2000 by DW Bradley (responsible for Wizardry V – VII), this is largely incompatible with newer systems, and was a pain to get going on my netbook.
So what are you playing? Chime in below!
Enjoy gaming!
