Kindle DX Goes International, Becomes Politician

Just like the Kindle 2, the Kindle DX has gone international! Amazon announced it this morning, along with refreshed inventory. This also explains why the DX was sold out in the last week before Christmas.

It is a big week for the DX. Not only is it back and more universal than ever, but apparently it is getting into politics. Teleread reported that the Cincinnati mayor’s office bought 10 Kindle DXs to replace their paper binders and reports. They are estimating the switch to digital is going to save the city $25,632 in copying and paper expenses. There is no comment from the DX on whether it plans to enter any national political races or write a tell-all about its new career.

The new digital paradigm is upon us, and Amazon is making sure it can follow us worldwide!
