Welcome back to the GearGames weekly video game release feature here at Gear Diary! The anticipation is starting to build for some of the big upcoming releases … but this week doesn’t contain any of them. The biggest release is Army of Two: The 40th Day for the XBOX360, PS3 and PSP. I have played the PSP demo and it is not very impressive, but the console versions are getting solid early reviews.

Aside from that, we get the video game associated with the upcoming winter Olympics (hopefully these are better than the games released for Torino, which were abysmal) and the new sequel to the Secret Files franchise. There are a few other games coming out this week, so check out the list!

- Army of Two: The 40th Day
- Vancouver 2010 – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games
- Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter

- Army of Two: The 40th Day
- Vancouver 2010 – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games

- Walk It Out
- Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
- Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis
- Crazy Chicken Tales
- Chronos Twins DX

- No New Releases

- Army of Two: The 40th Day

- Sands of Destruction
- Windy X Windam
- Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis
- Daniel X: The Ultimate Power

- Twin Sector
- Vancouver 2010 – The Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games
- Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis
- Mary Kay Andrews: The Fixer Upper
Some notes from last week:
- Divinity II: Ego Draconis
- Getting solid reviews, with the PC version doing better than the XBOX360 release.
What games am I playing now? As I keep saying, I’m still playing catch-up with the fall season, though I am getting closer to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel … so here are a few active games:
- Mac: Dragon Age: Origins – finally got the Mac copy, and had to start a new character due to DLC differences!
- PC: Divinity II: Ego Draconis – really loving this sequel, brings in many things I love in modern RPGs!
- PC: Planescape Torment – after Wizards & Warriors kept crashing I abandoned it and installed my newly arrived DVD re-release of this classic (better than the old 4-cd version!)
So what are you playing? Chime in below!
Enjoy gaming!
