LogicBUY Expands, Includes More Video News and Reviews

Each weekday morning we feature a different “special” from our GearSponsor LogicBuy. For a while, it has been the site I went to first when looking for deals on electronics. (In fact, it’s where I found deals on my mother-in-law’s GPS and her HP notebook!!)

For the past few months I’ve been the one posting the daily GearDeal from LogicBUY. As a result, I have become increasingly familiar with their site=. The range of deals that they offer is impressive to say the least. Sometimes, in fact, the deals are outrageously good. For example, last week when other retailers were offering a “deal” on the N900 (the very same phone that Judie is reviewing an dabsolutely loving right now), LogicBuy had it for over $150 less. (Unfortunately by the time I thought enough to go get one for myself the deal had expired.) Seriously, if you are looking to make an online purchase it is worth stopping by LogicBUY first to see what deals there might be.

The biggest issue I have with LogicBUY… they offer so much that it can, at times, be a bit overwhelming. Sure, in the upper left-hand corner of the site you find a button for the “newest” and the “hottest deals” but there are so many items that, unless you know what you’re looking for or let us guide you each morning with our GearDeal, you are probably best having an idea of what you want BEFORE you visit the site.

Now, however, LogicBUY has another way to help you locate the best, the newest, and the hottest deals. They recently introduced LogicBUY TV. LogicBUY TV offers three “channels”. LogicReviews offer some of their editorial staff’s video reviews of the hottest items they have found. LogicDealTalk runs through some of the best deals and specials that are currently running. And LogicNews offers up tidbits from the blogosphere.

The weekly LogicDealTalk is especially helpful in that it really helps to zero in on some of the better deals currently available. It’s great to see the site expanding, especially since they haven’t taken their eye off their core mission — collecting some of the best gear deals out there and putting them together in one place.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
