Fallout: New Vegas Teaser Trailer Released

Posted on 04 February 2010 by

Fans of the original Fallout games might be split on whether the 2008 addition to franchise was worthy of the ‘Fallout’ title, but most gamers agree that it was a load of fun to play and a worthwhile overall experience. Bethesda also found great success with the various DLC (downloadable content) they released over the last year, and so it was inevitable that a sequel would come along.

For the sequel, Bethesda has tapped respected RPG developer Obsidian, who brought unheard of moral and ethical complexity to the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Neverwinter Nights sequels, and produced the best game writing since Planescape Torment (which many from Obsidian worked on) in the NWN2 expansion ‘Mask of the Betrayer’. So for RPG fans let down by the sub-standard story, quest and dialogue writing have been able to be hopeful that Fallout: New Vegas would merge some of the modern sensibilities of Fallout 3 with some classic RPG elements they felt were lacking.

While Fallout New Vegas was announced a while back, today we get the official announcement trailer, along with a more defined release window of ‘Fall 2010′. Enjoy the trailer!

I have loved technology for as long as I can remember - and have been a computer gamer since the PDP-10! Mobile Technology has played a major role in my life - I have used an electronic companion since the HP95LX more than 20 years ago, and have been a 'Laptop First' person since my Compaq LTE Lite 3/20 and Powerbook 170 back in 1991! As an avid gamer and gadget-junkie I was constantly asked for my opinions on new technology, which led to writing small blurbs ... and eventually becoming a reviewer many years ago. My family is my biggest priority in life, and they alternate between loving and tolerating my gaming and gadget hobbies ... but ultimately benefits from the addition of technology to our lives!
