Today’s GearDeal is on the Lenovo G455 notebook. The 14″ notebook comes in grey and sports some nice features at a good price. The specs include an AMD Athlon ii dual-core processor running at 2.1 GHz, 3GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 512MB graphics, a 6-cell battery and Windows Home Premium.
It is a nice machine and normally sells for $699. Right now, however, our GearSponsor has it for $499 including free shipping.
Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”)
Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
I bought a G455 last week.. This laptop just kicks ass.. AMD processors are not hot any more. After several hours of use it maintains temperature from 45C-53C which is way better than Intel laptops. Battery life is amazing.. 6 Cell battery comes for 3 hrs. Great ATI graphics performance plays HD movies smooth. I Bought this laptop for $499 on a offer, Great value for Money. Hope lenovo releases more products like this.
