Multiplied Media, makers of the hugely popular BlackBerry & iPhone Poynt application for location based  searching, haven’t been resting on their laurels.  They just rolled out another update for BlackBerry users that gives the application even more features.  One of the best updates?  If you use your BlackBerry for navigation using VZ Navigator or Telmap, you can get turn-by-turn guidance to any business or location you pull up in Poynt — without ever leaving the application!

This beat multitasking, as you don’t have to exit one app to use another.  Poynt does it all for you!   This is in addition to already being able to map, send directions by email, or add the business or location to your BlackBerry address book right within Poynt.  If you are a BlackBerry user, this should be one of the first apps you install.  Plus, it’s still free!

The Poynt 1.5.412 Update includes

* Compatibility with VZ Navigator v5.0 and TeleNav
* Integration with Telmap for navigation in all European countries
* GPS and battery life combination enhanced features (e.g., less battery drain!)
* Already compatible for the upcoming 3G BlackBerry Pearl 9100 and 9105 models.

Poynt is available for free from BlackBerry App World or m.poynt.com from your BlackBerry Browser.
