So, you’re hacking away at your guitar, and you think, “Yo, I should sing these here lyrics that I just wrote.”  And you open your mouth and start wailing away!  A sure-fire hit!  You’re set for life!  And then your dog starts howling and you think, “Okay, maybe my voice needs a little work.”

Everyone trying to do music could use some ear training, and Christopher Sutton, the creator of Easy Ear Training, has put out an iPhone app to help you out.  With a game-like interface, it helps you train your pitch sensitivity.  Relative Pitch is available now via iTunes for an MSRP of $7.99 with a lite version available as well.

Full information below.

Christopher Sutton is the developer of one of the most interesting and interactive Apple Apps to date. He is also owner of Easy Ear Training Ltd, a United Kingdom based music software and iPhone music training app development company dedicated to helping artists realize their full musical potential.

Easy Ear Trainings first product, the RelativePitch App , released in April 2009, has grown from software developed for personal use, into one of the most well received iPhone apps available in the Apple Store. It also works a bit like a game! In addition to that the follow up App that will be released soon really is a learning game.

Ear training, a necessary skill in the music industry, is used by musicians and audio professionals to recognize and identify chords, intervals, rhythms and other basic elements of music. Designed to help musicians and audio professionals get the most benefit from their ears, RelativePitch makes ear training effective, accessible and fun. RelativePitch has been rated 5 stars by FIXME users, and was featured for two weeks on the Apple iTunes App store, during which time it was also in the Top Ten Music in the UK and USA amongst other countries. This app has been successful, and featured in the Apple Store Top Ten.

Chris has taken his love of music and has turned it into a successful app, that he has branched out to include a companion website portal, and further apps which will be launched in the very near future.
