It’s a common injury. iPhone elbow. You know, you’re on the cross-country fight and go to watch a movie on your iPhone. But without anything to hold your arms ache from 2+ hours of holding your phone in a proper viewing angle.
I’ve got a bunch of iPhone stands in my gear library. However, most are of the cradle variety and these are large, mostly meant for desktop use. When I travel it would be nice to have a stand solution to take along for watching videos from my iPhone. Are you like me, in search of a simple and portable iPhone stand? Something that’s small enough to easily store in your gear bag and be there whenever you need it? The MoviePeg might be the answer.
Designed to ergonomically fit the curves of the naked iPhone, the MoviePeg can be used for a host of different functions. Watching movies, when you use your iPhone as an alarm clock, in the kitchen for recipes and more.
The MoviePeg is made from recycled materials and comes in a ton of colors. You can choose from black, yellow, green, blue, pink and red.

I’ve seen some other affordable stands for the iPhone but those were flimsy, made of some sort of reinforced paper product. The MoviePeg is tough and sturdy.

The MoviePeg is meant to hold your iPhone without a case. It can do so in either the portrait or landscape positions.
The phone remains completely functional in both instances.

In landscape mode you’ll be able to keep your iPhone connected to power as well.

I could go on about the MoviePeg but there isn’t much more to say other than it flat out works. As far as I’m concerned this is the perfect travel solution for supporting your iPhone for viewing. Buy a few. Leave one in your gear bag all the time. That way it’s there when you need it. Put one in your glove compartment. If you’re out and about and need something to occupy the kids with, grab the MoviePeg and throw up a movie. Keep another in your desk drawer at the office.
At only $10.34 each, shipped, you can afford to keep a few MoviePegs around.
You can grab the iPhone 3G version now and look for the iPad and iPhone 4 versions soon.
Visit the MoviePeg web site for details on how to order.
