The Moshi is “The first ‘listening clock’ that allows you set the time and alarm by your voice alone”. The clock is activated by user saying “Hello Moshi” so there is no need to push any buttons. The clock responds to 12 voice activated commands: time, set alarm, today’s date, temperature, and more. It features snooze, 3 sounds for alarm and sleep, volume control, and night-light.
The Moshi Voice Control Alarm Clock has an MSRP $39.99 and is available at Bed Bath & Beyond, Dillard’s, Brookstone and www.moshilifestyle.com.
We had one to give away and that Moshi VC Alarm Clock is going to… Melanie Lopez!
Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”)
Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen

Pretty cool. Someday we’ll never have to use our hands at all to do anything. My 20 year old alarm clock refuses to die though – I think it’s the oldest piece of technology I have and still works great!

Good thing I found the Moshi clock at Dillards.com (for $20 apiece!!!! $19.99) and bought a couple of them today.
I didnt think I’d win the one being given away here, and I really really really wanted one of these clocks. Plus, my mom wanted to give one to a friend of hers who has macular degeneration, so I searched around to see who had the best price.
If I like mine, I may end up ordering more for gifts to give at Christmastime.

I went to Dillard’s and bought the Moshi clock. Bought two clocks for $19.99 each. (one’s a gift for a friend, the other one is MINE!) Just got them home and it was seriously easy to set up, a little confusing on the date, since it seems like you have to do that manually.
The alarms are really really really annoying, I might not use that feature, but it looks great on my computer desk and I just think it’s the coolest clock I’ve had in awhile.
I had to show my aunt the clock and she’s gone nuts over it. She’s giving them as presents to her family for christmas. (she has a few blind relatives)
I’m glad I follow this blog, because I’ve found some of the coolest gadget-ish type stuff just from reading the posts here.
