Do you get tired of trying to go to multiple search sites from your SmartPhone, bouncing from Bing to Google to whatever?  Brazillian company Handcase wants to help.  Gune (which is a Basque word meaning “site”–how cool is that?  Basque!) is a meta-search system that searches through other sites and generates one page of results.  So instead of having a list of Bing results, and a list of Google results, hey, just one set!

For more information, surf on over to the Gune site and check it out.

Full information below.

The Handcase launched your mobile search system, called Gune. Gune is a system of meta-search, ie he searches the other sites and generates a single page of results, optimized for small screen of the phones and smartphones. The websites consulted by the Gune are: Google and Bing.

Instead, the sites of traditional meta-search the internet, which use the same principle, Gune makes the only mobile search, with results on one page, put in lists of ten results per search engine. “The goal here was to optimize the time of the User and aims to provide a superior experience with search.” Explains Ricardo Garay, CEO Handcase.

And now for WebOS. Gune is available only in English, but the Handcase ensures that the versions in Portuguese, Spanish and Italian are underway.

The Gune in your face social offers a catalog of mobile websites, and invites all indicate mobile websites. “Gune is designed so that everyone could contribute to the directory, so who have, or know a website mobile, just visit the website for the PC and give your tip. Once checked and approved it goes to the directory.” Ensures Garay.

Riding the nerd wave, he got a Computer Science degree and entered the tech industry at a young age, deciding after a year and a half of front-line phone technical support that he should try something, *anything* else. He settled on technical writing, and has been cranking out documentation for companies like Unisys, SGI, Cisco, Juniper, and many others ever since. The fact that he commutes between his family in Austin and his day job in California is something that he is simply trying to live with. (Isabelle the Corgi helps.)
