Remember when Lenovo’s computers were all business? Back then they were specifically designed for work and came in any color you wanted so long as that color was black. Well today’s Gear Deal comes from Lenovo and it shows just how far the company has come since the days of the IBM ThinkPad.

Lenovo just released their IdeaCentre A310. The A310 is an update to the A300 lineup and it is thinner and more powerful than ever. At only 0.75″ thick the A310 is just about as thin as you can get.  Despite its thin, slick look however the A310 is a powerful machine. It is available with either a Core i3 or a Core i5 processor. It features an HDMI in/out ports, comes with a Bluetooth wireless keyboard + mouse, has an integrated webcam and an 8-in-1 Card Reader. It also has a TV Tuner so it can double as an entertainment center.

The A310 line starts at $1,049 but our GearSponsor has located a deal that will get you $100 off PLUS a 10% stackable coupon. That brings the entry price on the Lenovo A310 down to just $854.10. It will even ship for free. For details and ordering visit LogicBUY.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. +Dan Cohen
