Venan’s ‘Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! HD!’ on iPad and iPhone at Reduced Price

The two Benders are right, at least when you’re playing Venan’s “Ninjatown: Trees of Doom” in HD (or rather, “Dooooooooooom!”).

The scoop:  Venan has updated their “Trees of Doom!” game to HD, and you can now play it on either your iPad or iPhone.  Not only that, but Venan is offering a back-to-school sale on the scary trees:  only a buck for the iPhone version, and two bucks for the iPad version.  Available right now on iTunes.  So if you’re a fan, or want to see trees of . . . dooooooooom! . . . you should definitely check ‘em out.  (As a committed Plants vs. Zombies fan, I’m going to.)

Venan Entertainment today announced that Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! HD! the iPad-exclusive version of their best-selling game, Ninjatown: Trees of Doom!, is now available on the App Store. Developed in conjunction with Shawnimals and Pickle King Productions, the extremely popular arcade title features adorable ninjas, villainous devils, and magical moustache rides.

Making its debut at this year’s E3, Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! HD! impressed show-goers with its crisp graphics, addictive gameplay, and user-friendly controls.

“Ninjatown has a very unique and vibrant art style that up until now we’ve been forced to cram onto really tiny screens.” said Brandon Curiel, CEO of Venan Entertainment. “With the iPad, we’ve finally been able to bring Shawn’s fantastic world to life, no-holds-barred. The result is absolutely stunning.”

In addition to the new HD! release, Venan has also released its new 1.3 update for the original Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! on iPhone and iPod touch. Version 1.3 includes Retina Display graphics for iPhone 4 owners, multitasking support for iOS 4, unlockable Forest and White ninjas, and three new warp bomb checkpoints for 2500, 5000, and 10000 meters.

“We’re tremendously excited by the iPad version, but we wanted to make sure we had something for everyone.” said Curiel. “With new device support, new graphics, and new gameplay, we’ve been able to deliver our biggest Trees of Doom release yet!”

Both titles are currently reduced in price as part of Venan Arcade’s “Back to School” sale. Ninjatown: Trees of Doom is available for $0.99 whileNinjatown: Tree of Doom! HD! can be had for $1.99.
