If you have kids, you know how it goes. (Heck, if you’ve just been around friends who have kids, you know how it goes.)
“You need to turn that off now, Billy/Judie/Selena/Angie/Chebrolu/André/Günter/whoever.”
“But I’ve only been playing a few minutes!”
“You’ve been playing for an hour!”
“45 minutes! That’s not so long!”
“I told you only a few minutes!”
“45 is only a few minutes!”
“Get over here right now!” Etc. It can get ugly. Fast.
Well, you know there’s gotta be an app to help, right? (There’s probably an app for Mideast Peace negotiations, these days; if only Hillary had an iPhone . . .) And you’re in luck: there is! XVision has created a game time limit app for only two bucks, and you can download it off iTunes. So if you’re a parent, or a friend of a parent who is looking for a bit less arguing and a bit more peace and quiet, maybe you should give it a try.
Some more info about the app:
The app enables a parent to set a timer that limits the amount of game
playing (or screen) time the child gets. When the timer ends, an alarm
appears on the screen, stopping your child from playing anymore. The
only way to stop the alarm is for him to handover the iDevice to the
parent. Otherwise, the alarm keeps appearing. This is the first and only app that does this. I am really excited
about this useful parenting tool. I tested it on my daughterThe app is now in AppStore.
