The funny thing is that just the other day I was researching trench coats at Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, PiperLime and Neiman Marcus. It turns out that finding a trench coat which isn’t too long, isn’t too rumply, is cute yet also true-to-size, isn’t ugly, has a pretty pop of color, and one which doesn’t inexplicably cost $900.00+ isn’t as easy to do as I thought it would or should be.
Well, maybe I should just wait, because I have received word that SeV will be introducing a women’s trench in spring 2011. I don’t know pricing or even what its final name will be, but I do know that the SeV Women’s Trench Coat will be available in several colors (including black), and it’s got many of the classic features I want to see — it’s double-breasted, has epaulets, and there are adjustable buckles on the sleeves. Of course, being that it is a SCOTTEVEST item, there will be storage and hidden pockets galore.
Too bad they aren’t available now …
