G5 Entertainment develops and publishes casual ‘hidden object’ and ‘time management’ games for a variety of platforms including iOS, PC, PSP and Mac. I have reviewed games from them such as Virtual City for the iPhone & iPad, Supermarket Mania 2 for the PC, and Mystery of the Crystal Portal for the PSP. Now they have brought eight of their games to the Mac App Store – all for the low price of $6.99 each!
Here are the games, with descriptions provided by G5 Entertainment.
Virtual City is a city building and transportation simulator with intuitive interface and outstanding graphics. Build a city of your dream, whether it’s a residential paradise or an industrial center!
Supermarket Mania is a highly addictive casual time management game with millions of players on PC and other platforms. Running a grocery store can be a lot of fun! Help Nikki keep five stores stocked to the rafters with the provisions customers want, and show your adversary what a little hometown pluck can do!
Stand O’Food is an original, fast-paced restaurant challenge. Feed a host of hungry patrons before they leave in a huff! Slap together burgers and cook up some bacon as quickly as you can!
The Mystery of the Crystal Portal – Embark on a brain-bending adventure that’s full of unique hidden object fun. Featuring innovative hidden object gameplay, an intriguing storyline, stunning full-screen graphics, and more, The Mystery of the Crystal Portal is a thrilling escape for the whole family.
Mahjong Artifacts: Chapter 2 is highly addictive tile-matching game. It takes tile-matching games in an exciting new direction! Pair up tiles to dismantle hundreds of layouts. Gather pearls for purchasing special powers, utilize a selection of ground-breaking powerups, earn trophies, and enjoy the game`s beautiful graphics and rich audio.
Mahjong Artifacts – Escape from the rush of modern life into immersive ancient atmosphere of Mahjong Artifacts! The prequel to Mahjong Artifacts: Chapter 2 and a new fan-favorite comes with three game play modes which take you through five exotic cultures.
Paranormal Agency – Use your supernatural ESP to rid the city of malevolent spooks and spirits in this eerie Hidden Object game!
Success Story – Slap together burgers for hungry customers, serve French fries and desserts, and keep the line moving in this arcade time management game!
As noted, the games are all priced at $6.99 – which is right in line with similar game types from publisher Big Fish Games. Considering that some of the iPad versions of these games cost up to $9.99, this is a great way to enjoy some quality gaming.
Interestingly, after playing Supermarket Mania on the PC and so many other great G5 games on the iPad, I find I prefer the iPad for these sorts of games (especially the ‘hidden object’ games).
Either way, these games from G5 are a great gaming value for the money and definitely worth checking out on either the Mac or an iOS device of choice!
