SCOTTEVEST: FOR THE TRIP OF YOUR LIFE CONTEST
Everyone has a dream, and SCOTTEVEST wants to make your travel dream a reality. Whether it is walking the Great Wall, a culinary tour of Paris, a week to reconnect with high school friends in Dayton Ohio, or following your favorite band’s tour across the country, the trip of your life doesn’t need to be complex, but it does need to be special.
We are giving away $10,000 and a full SCOTTEVEST wardrobe to one winner and their travel companions to make the Trip of Your Life a reality! To enter, send us a video, photos or story answering, “What is the Trip of Your Life?” and if your entry is our favorite you’ll get $10K to make it happen.

So how do you enter?
THE RULES: There is no limit to the number of entries you may make to the SCOTTEVEST For the Trip of Your Life contest, and all entries are due by December 31, 2011. Click here for the full rules, which may change at any time and without notice. See below for the process of entry.
THE PROCESS: FILM, EDIT, SHOOT, WRITE – ENDS DECEMBER 31, 2011
Ten seconds, ten minutes or anywhere in between. You. Your SCOTTEVEST (if you have one!). Shoot a video, write a story, take photos, make popsicle stick dioramas, sing a song, paint on canvas. Whatever medium you choose, make your most compelling case to answer the question: “What is the Trip of Your Life?” Tell us where you want to go, why you want to go, how you’re going to document your trip (video, photos, writing, etc.) and why we should choose you. (If you are doing a video, work in some phrases like, “Go Away!” and “SCOTTEVEST: For the Trip of Your Life!” so we can use clips in some of our compilation videos.)

UPLOAD YOUR ENTRY TO YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, ETC. & TELL US ABOUT IT
To enter, post your video, photo, etc. online. If you are posting to YouTube, do so as a video response to this video. Use the title/subject “SCOTTEVEST: For the Trip of Your Life Contest Entry” and include a link back to www.SCOTTEVEST.com/contest in your description.
Please insert this graphic as the last three seconds of your video (optional, but preferred). You may also use: our theme song, X-Rays and Product images. (You may use them for your video entry purposes only.)
When you are done and it’s posted, send us an email with your name, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, and a link to your entry video (or photos, or writing, etc.). Email us at: contests@scottevest.com. You must also include where you heard about the contest, since we want to give credit to our promoters! Remember, the sooner you enter the more time you have to get views!
All must be in by December 31, 2011, 11:59PM Mountain Time.
PROMOTE: MAKE IT VIRAL: Your ability to promote your entry and get people to watch it is just as important as how much we like it! A full 49% of the scoring is determined by how many views, comments and stars it gets on YouTube, likes on Facebook, retweets on Twitter, etc., so get your friends to vote on your SCOTTEVEST entry to WIN! Remember, the sooner you enter the more time you have to promote!
All entries must be posted by December 31 for the contest. Views, comments, stars and our judges’ votes will then be tallied and winners will be announced in January, 2012. Post your entries ASAP so your View Count has time to grow!
