SKTools, a popular system maintenance suite for Windows Mobile, has been updated to version 4.5.1.4. This update brings a new tool to SKTools, File Explorer. This year, Gear Diary has hit several milestones; I wanted to do something super-special to mark the event and thank the writers, other than just sending items from their Amazon Wish Lists which is what I have done in the past. After wracking my brain, I wrote to Scott Jordan, a long time friend and owner of SCOTTEVEST; I asked him what kind of price break he could give me if I ordered jackets in bulk, and his answer was surprisingly do-able. Why go with SeV? The answer for me was simple: they are extremely well made, I love their products, these items hold up over time, I think their products look great, I wanted to support a business that I believe in, and I could get item ordered personalized with the Gear Diary logo! :lol: Scott set me up with his custom embroidery guy (Rick from S&R Monogramming), and together they made sure that the Gear Diary writers were perfectly outfitted for the winter weather. After everyone had received their packages, I asked them to send me a picture of them wearing their jackets, along with a few sentences telling what they like -- or don't like -- about SeV products in general. The Trojan-SMS.WinCE.Sejweek.a trojan is commonly found associated with pirated software, downloads an XML file from a website which contains the numbers of premium rate SMS numbers and the frequency at which the expensive ($1 per message) SMS messages will be sent. PocketShield has recently been updated to v3.2.5. PocketShield is an intelligent screen locker. It completely locks the screen and hardware keys when phone wakes up and is inside your pocket or case, and unlocks it automatically as soon as you take it off. How? Most phones come with an integrated light sensor, PocketShield uses this sensor to determine if the phone is inside something(without light reaching it). Slide2Unlock2, or more commonly known as S2U2, is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking for Windows Mobile. It can be used as a screen-saver when your device is idle. It has a CallerID function (but it may not work on some devices, so try it before using it daily); S2P control plugin; and volume control. S2U2 shows various system information items, even without unlocking and is highly customizable. Changes of v2.20
  • Removed the option "lock the device after any phone call when Bluetooth is on".
  • Added option "InCall Lock" (S2U2 Settings -> General)
  • Added option to release the Volume Control key lock, i.e. adjust

Panoramic Software Inc. released a major upgrade to its successful Windows Phone Twitter client, Panoramic moTweets to v1.5. This is probably one of the best Twitter client for Windows Mobile due to the constant update from the developer. At least, it's one of my favorite. :) Changes with this release:
  • Auto-refresh Popup notification will no longer come up
  • Removed message to ask to go online, no longer required
  • NEW: Now has the option to play system sounds
  • NEW: Picture services twitpic.com, yfrog.com, twipl.net
  • NEW: Initial implimentation of Twitter Lists, can view the lists

Google recently released their latest version of Google Maps for mobile v3.3 for Windows Mobile. This update will now enable you to keep the starred places on your Windows Phone and on your computer completely synchronized.
