PDAir has been making accessories for the mobile market since the early part of this decade. They have offered accessories for an ever-growing lineup of devices, ranging from phones to media players to ebook readers.
Recently, PDAir released several new or updated models of cases for the iPhone 3GS and sent Gear Diary a couple of samples to review. We were provided with the Vertical Pouch and the Sleeve Case in black leather. (You can see their full line of iPhone 3GS cases and other iPhone accessories here.) Both of the cases we were provided come in a variety of colors and with or without a belt clip. Our samples were well made and the leather had a good feel to it. The white stitching on black leather looked nice and the stitching on our samples was even. Both cases came in nice boxes suitable for gift wrapping.

PDAir makes a case or skin for just about every mobile device currently available. They have a wide variety of cases available ranging from leather to aluminum to silicone. I was lucky enough to recieve a Luxury Silicone Case compatible with the BlackBerry Storm 9500/9530 to review. Sporting a low $18 price and wide range of color choices, you could easily pick up one color — or several — to show off your individual style.

If there’s one thing PDair is not short on it’s cases for the iPhone. Their catalogue of cases is huge! From metal to leather to silicone to everything in between they are sure to have a case that fits each individual’s own sense of style.
I was recently sent the PDair Luxury Silicone case for the iPhone 3G to review.

It’s that time again…time for me to recognize all of the wonderful sponsors who believe in and who so graciously support Gear Diary…
I’ll start by mentioning our newest sponsor, LogicBuy. Have you noticed the near daily Gear Sponsored blurbs that Wayne started posting last week? Not to be confused with the GearDeals he has always scoured the net to find, these are sponsored posts pointing you to the deal of the day on the LogicBuy site. We’d like to thank Thai and the gang at LogicBuy for their support, and we hope that you all enjoy some extra savings when taking advantage of their deals.
Next is our original and longest running backer: Skooba Design (formerly RoadWired). Michael Hess believed in this site from the beginning and offered his company’s support. I’ll always be grateful that he took an early interest in us, and I hope that you all will show your appreciation for his leap of faith by clicking his ad and perusing his wares. You can see past Skooba Design / RoadWired reviews here.
Mingo Chui and the gang from PDair have been another longtime sponsor. I’ve been reviewing PDair items for years, and am pleased to take this opportunity to thank them for supporting us. If you haven’t clicked their button recently, then do! Once on their site, you’ll find that PDair has a solution for just about every one of your mobility needs. On this site you will find quite a few reviews of their cases and other products.
BeyzaCases has also been a faithful supporter of this site, and we truly appreciate them! Gear Diary readers have grown familiar with their products over the last few years, but Beyza has been around for quite a while. As Ali, my contact there told me some time ago, “We, as Neta Trades Ltd have been in this business since 1998, but we have started to produce and markeket under our own brandname BeyzaCases in 2004. Untill that time we were only producing our leather Cases for well known brandnames as a confidential contractor. We are still producing for many brands in same way. But since 2004 we wanted to be in this market as BeyzaCases for to share our experience and to show our quality. We are offering competitive wholesale pricess to our clients including fast and free shipment with a Great service. All BeyzaCases products reach our clients with “LifeTime Warranty”.” We have reviewed quite a few BeyzaCases’ branded products on Gear Diary, and you can see those reviews here. You can check out their latest offerings by clicking here.
I would also like to thank all of the companies who have sponsored contests through Gear Diary. Off the top of my head (which automatically means I am forgetting some), these include: HP, Scooba Design, Vaja, HTC, Epson, Speck, Ultimate Ears, BlueAnt Wireless, Astraware, PPC Techs, and so many others are the companies that spice up our usual offerings of news, reviews, and opinion pieces. We truly appreciate them! If your company would like to sponsor Gear Diary through a contest or advertisement, you can find details on how to do so, here.
As a reminder, another way to support Gear Diary is by signing up for a free one-year subscription to any of the Free Tech magazines from the Trade Publication button on the far right sidebar. You can purchase software (as well as hardware accessories) from the Gear Diary Store, and we also have an affiliate relationship with ProClip, makers of almost every in-vehicle mount solution you might ever need.
I would also like to thank YOU for reading Gear Diary, because without your continued support…what would be the point? ![]()

If you’ve been following the series that Dan and I have been doing on the MSI Wind, then you need to take a look at this. There’s a quick update you can make the the Darwin Boot Loader on the OSX side that will give your multi-booting Wind a bit more polish.

This holiday season just like millions of households, the Schulz family made a contribution to Apple’s earnings with the purchase of two iPod Touch’s. The kids have loved these devices and one of the first things I HAD to do was get a case for each of them. My daughter chose the Otterbox Defender. My son wanted a flip top case so we went with the PDair leather case. Continue Reading

PDAir sent me a couple of cases to try for on the T-Mobile G1. The first one is by far, my most favorite case I’ve yet tried with my G1. The leather flip case I received from PDAir even smells great; maybe not Vaja great, but it doesn’t come with a Vaja price tag, either!

As much as I love my MSI Wind, I am not a fan of the case that was included in the box. Sure, it is functional. It protects my Wind, and keep a relatively low profile. But it is not exactly stylish. So, I have been watching for an opportunity to upgrade to something a little nicer. Fortunately for me, our friends over at PDAir were more than happy to oblige with an extremely nice brown leather case. Hit the jump for all of my thoughts on this one.

I bought my girlfriend an iPhone for Christmas and ever since we’ve been trying to find the perfect case for her. I tested several different models from the good people at pdair.com, always a “go-to” source for iPhone swag.

As many of you know, I have been desperately searching for a case for my Sprint Mogul. I have tested cases by a variety of manufacturers, but never found the “perfect” case. Who knows, maybe it is simply not out there, but I am not ready to give up yet. Today, I have the fourth of four PDAir cases I was sent to review. While the other three were variations on leather cases (pouch, flip, and book styles) this one is a hard shell aluminum metal case. I like this kind of case because it offers the promise of significantly more protection. Let’s take a closer look.

Part of the lure of a being on holiday is the ability to get away from all of your tech distractions. But if you’re reading this site, then you’re probably like me and derive an inordinate amount of enjoyment from having all of your toys and gadgets with you wherever you go. There’s a lot to be said for putting your smartphone, MP3 player, digital camera or laptop away in order to be able to fully soak in your surroundings, but when used in moderation, I think gadgets can actually enhance your travel experience.
There are all sorts of considerations to take into account when travelling with your tech toys. Will it have enough storage for all my photos and music? Is it durable enough to handle the rigours of the road? Will the battery last me until the next time I get to a power outlet? And what happens if my bag gets stolen?
Gadget insurance is something I’ll cover in another post, but the rest of the concerns are easily take care of with the right tech and accessories.

Most of our frequent readers know that since I purchased the Sprint Mogul, I have been desperately seeking a good case for it. I have tried out numerous different brands, which I have reviewed both here and at Just Another Mobile Monday. Today, my quest lands me squarely in the hands of PDair, and their leather case. The leather case comes in three varieties: Flip, Book, and Pouch. We’ll call this part 1 of my PDair case review. Part 2 will come sometime soon when I look at the PDair Aluminum Case.
