Joe Stirt, of Book of Joe fame, sent one of his enigmatic emails last night with the subject line “world-changing”; intrigued, I had to take a look.

What I found may not be world changing in the traditional spirit of the phrase, but it would definitely be quite nice to win one of the 500 SL-2 lights that SunNight Solar is giving away…

Being a different kind of company – focusing on people, the planet and then profits – we are set to launch our new SL2 (SunLight2) or SuperBoGo, solar powered flashlight in a different way as well – we are going to give them away.

There are no charges, nothing to buy and we will send them to you at our cost, from our warehouse in Houston, when they arrive in mid-August. Each is individually numbered – 1/500 and they are in blue ABS plastic and on the side, laser etched – it says “Changing the World – Limited Edition” May 2008.

As you may recall, last October Chris Leckness was one of the attendees as the LA press event for Sandisk’s launch of the 8GB MicroSD card. One of the fab bits of SWAG attendees received was the Nokia N95, which he used for a bit and then basically relegated to the used gadget pile all of us reviewers have. He even tried getting his wife to use it, but no dice - she likes her CrackBerry better. It’s okay, though, because this story has a happy ending…

Last night, I was cleaning up around my office and I came across the box for the N95 and thought that it was a shame that such an expensive, powerful phone was just sitting in the graveyard waiting for a photo op. So, I decided to give it to one of you!
