Some eagle eyed shoppers spotted a $ 20 pricing reduction on the refurbished 8GB iPod Nano via the Apple online store (The 4GB refurbished Nano dropped $40 to $99). You can find these slightly cheaper elsewhere as refurbs, however other stores typically don’t offer the same 1 year limited warranty that you get with refurb purchases through the Apple store.

The All-New Compusa.com has the Lenovo 3000 on sale for $ 399 less a $ 100 mail in rebate (Rebate terms: Must purchase between 5/17 and 5/24 plus postmark within 30 days of purchase). If you can stomach a mail in rebate (which I generally try to avoid) - then this isn’t too bad a deal. It doesn’t include a monitor but it’s beefy enough elsewhere that it’s worth your consideration. Microsoft’s Live Search announces a new program that offers cash back for purchases made through participating retailers. The catch is that you have to locate the deal by using Live Search (participating deals are indicated by a gold colored icon). And cashback isn’t instant - they only provide the rebate by deposit into your Paypal account or via check (Boo - another rebate to track). Qualifying for the cash back is simple. Create a Live account, log in, search. Here’s a quick look at how it works and why I probably won’t use it.

I just spotted this deal from Buy.com on the Black and Decker Pocket Power Backup Batter Pack. The concept behind this power source is that you charge it via your AC outlet (8 hours for a full charge), then carry it with you along with your normal device charger. The Black & Decker contains both a USB and AC outlet to plug your device into for power and provides a claimed 5 hours of combined power/recharge capabilities. Downside to the charger is that it’s heavy and requires 8 hours for a full re-charge. For $10 (or free if you open and use a new Google Checkout account) it might be handy to keep in your gear bag - this price is $26 cheaper than what you’d pay over at Amazon.
