This giveaway is now closed and the winner is rbushway / Rob Bushway from Gotta Be Mobile. Just so you know, we used a highly scientific method to select his entry (I asked my fiance’s five year old to pick a number between one and 101, and she picked THREE.) So there you have it.
Congratulations Rob!
If you didn’t win, be on the lookout for more giveaways coming soon from Gear Diary!
We’ve got one, you want one, and now you can get one.
Thanks to HTC and AT&T, I have in my hands a brand new AT&T branded HTC Fuze, and you can win it as a holiday gift for yourself.
How? Read on…

Just leave a comment naming what your favorite gadget in 2008 was and why.
We’ll pick a winner at midnight CST on December 24th.

It’s been over a year since RIM announced BlackBerry Application Suite for Windows Mobile-based Devices. At the time they promised to deliver the BlackBerry experience to the Windows Mobile world. If these images are accurate , it seems that RIM have at least gotten the BlackBerry OS running on an HTC Fuze. Unfortunately despite a wide variety of screen shots there’s zero images of the exact OS version . Interesting concept - I’m not sure how practical this will be for real world usage as it will involve two mobile phone operating systems and potentially double the crashes.

HTC is opening up their “How I Fuze” web site starting Monday, December 15, 2008. They’ll also kick off 4 months (120 days) of HTC Fuze giveaways. That’s one Fuze per day along with some other substantial prizes. The site (http://www.howifuze.com) goes live on Monday, December 15 and features online Flash demonstrations, product specs and best of all 120 free Fuzes that will be given away. The folks from HTC have also emailed to let us know that a brand new Fuze is on the way to GearDiary headquarters for re-gifting to one lucky reader. Stay tuned as we roll out that giveaway ASAP so as to make another lucky read a winner in time for the holiday.

Amazon is offering the HTC Fuze for the new contract price of $149 after 2 year contract and $30 rebate. The phone is shown as available in 4 to 6 weeks, however my experience with Amazon is their stock often fills and ships sooner. If you can wait and would like to save 50% off your neighborly AT&T store cost (which has the phone for the new contract amount of $299 after $50 rebate) check out this Amazon deal. Always, phone deals require a new line of service and minimum service commitment of 2 years.
