Sprint’s HTC Touch Diamond is now showing online at Sprint.com and available for web orders at the price of $249 after 2 year commitment and $100 mail in rebate (must activate with specific plan to qualify so read the rebate fine print). Judie has an HTC Touch Diamond for review and is in the process of testing the performance. Mitchell reviewed an international version of this device back in July 2008 and has lots of pictures and some pros and cons in his HTC Diamond Review.

Just a quick post to show you what arrived at my door today.
My impressions will follow soon, as well as a different type of review than I usually do. It’s charging now…

If you just can’t wait for the official appearance of the HTC Touch Diamond, Amazon has an international version (Translation: The 3G won’t work in America - you are stuck with EDGE) in an unlocked state for $695. Frequency coverage is tri-band GSM - 900/1800/1900 with 3G international data via 900/1200. This model includes all the standard goodies like Bluethooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and the digital audio player and FM radio. Amazon shows only a few remaining - and they also note that these are sold without warranty. My advice - if you’re in the USA wait a few months until 3G versions start showing up (which include warranty coverage).
