I previously wrote about how much I love the free AOL streaming radio service. Recently they added 150 local CBS radio stations and 30 talk and sports specific channels. Now there is an announcement from AOL Radio that there will be a free iPhone version that launches as part of the forthcoming iPhone App Store. You’ll be able to listen to all 200+ AOL Radio stations and 150+ CBS Radio stations via your iPhone for free. The software will work on both the original iPhone and the upcoming iPhone 3G. According to AOL the songs will stream over either Wi-Fi or 3G. Because the iPhone 3G will include GPS capabilities, the AOL Radio will automatically tell you which CBS radio station is closest to you and allow you to easily tune to listen! Watch for it to launch when the iPhone App Store opens next month (or June 27 if the rumors are true that the App Store will launch prior to the 3G iPhone.)
