That being the case isn't a dented box worth saving $40? That's what today's Gear Deal asks. The Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard is normally $79.99. It charges itself whenever there’s light and, better still, it stays charged for at least three months in total darkness. I saw the keyboard at a gear show in New York a few months back and was impressed by the thin profile and the overall feel. At the time I thought $79.99 was a decent price for it. I still think that but at the price our Gear Sponsor tracked down- just $39.99- it <a

Here's what he found:
The keyboard is not the best, but it is fully functional and simple to use. Having a keyboard does make it far easier to write long posts, articles or homework assignments on the iPad.
There are people who have resisted jumping into the iPad world simply because they need to enter large amounts of text and find the onscreen keyboard too limiting. The Sena Keyboard Folio for iPad solves that issue and brings that functionality to the iPad in a sleek, elegant package. If you are a fan of fine leather and
<a

What makes this mouse All Terrain? Well anyone who has used an optical mouse and tried to use it on a glass surfaces knows that they usually will not work on glass table top or glass blotter like you find in a hotel room. The Digital Innovations AllTerrain Wired 3-Button Mouse <a

Well, maybe the new Soyntec keyboard is something you're looking for. All its keys are backlit so that you can use it in the dark. When you wake up in the middle of the night because your brain has finally solved that bug that's been driving you crazy for the last three weeks, hey, your work area will be ready even if your eyes can't handle you turning on <a

Some keyboards and keyboard cases have worked fairly well but none have been comfortable enough and portable enough for me to carry all the time. Moreover, most of the keyboard cases I have tried have just been too bulky for daily use. After all, what is the point of having the super-thin iPad 2 if you are going to then toss it into a thick, bulky case?
The keyboards that have come closest to my wanting to carry and use them each day have been the offerings from ZAGG. For example, while I didn't love the case that comes with the ZAGGfolio I <a

If you're going to have a tablet computer, one of the attractions for me is thinness, and so while I love the feel of some of the leather cases I've tested, I keep coming back to the Apple case because it's so durn thin.
Well, the folks from Hatch and Co. are clearly thinking along the same lines with their new Skinny iPad 2 Keyboard case ("Skinny" is its name--that's why I capitalized it!). If you are lovin' your iPad 2 and its slender form factor, but want to ZAGG makes some great accessories and I was intrigued when they released a keyboard folio case for the iPad 2. I was even more intrigued when I heard that they would be releasing the ZAGGkeys Solo, the keyboard folio minus the folio since it meant you could buy a standalone iPad keyboard that has specialized shortcuts just for the iPad AND a built-in stand. When I reached out to Zagg I was told the ZAGGkeys solo would ship in a short while OR I could take a closer look at the ZAGGfolio and just focus more on the keyboard since the two keyboards are largely the same, save for some additional shortcut <a

It works quite well for me and, thanks to the large solid-state drive and the ability to connect it to a larger monitor, it serves as a desktop computing platform quite well. When I do connect it to a larger monitor, I like to have a separate keyboard and mouse so that I don't have to worry about the placement of the laptop itself. Until now that is meant using a magic mouse and Apple's Bluetooth keyboard. I've been trying out something new, however, and it's a rather compelling option if you are using a set up such as this. Crafted to fit snugly around your fingers, the newest entry to the remote control family is activated solely by your thumb, providing a uniquely flexible take on computer peripherals. Created and manufactured by the aptly named Genius corporation, the mouse is meant to come as a pint-sized revolutionary, a wireless liberator fighting off genuine banality and discomfort. Really though, it's just a ring-shaped mouse.
As the recipient of an iF award, Genius is certainly steering clear of the modest approach when it comes to advertising. For those of <a

Seems when they announced this item a certain multi-syllabic word caught my attention – waterproof.
Just days before seeing word of the new keyboard, I had almost destroyed my wireless keyboard that came with my iMac. In a split-second I knocked my coffee tumbler over enough to spill a few sips worth onto the keys. Arggghhh. Alas, the keyboard was not damaged, but for my early morning time spent in front of the computer perhaps I needed to find something a Mobee Magic Bar
Both Elana and I use an Apple wireless keyboard with our MacBook Airs when we are at home. We love the keyboards and the flexibility they offer but we hate the wastefulness of constantly having to replace the batteries. Sure we could use rechargables and and we were about to get a system when I saw this: The Mobee Magic Bar.
The Mobee Magic bar offers a USB-powered recharge dock for your keyboard that lets you cut the cords but then, when needed, charge it up once more by simple plugging it into the computer. It looks nice too! Pretty neat huh? Just $59!

style="text-align: left;">There are times when you need to write something on the iPad that is just too long for the software keyboard. Sure you can carry a Bluetooth keyboard, but that may become cumbersome and heavy. That's where having a mini Bluetooth keyboard built into a case for the iPad comes in. Sure, it is a relatively new concept, but by combining the keyboard with the familiar and popular folio style iPad case, many of the limitations people find with the iPad can be resolved. Finding the perfect solution, however, is difficult at best. Several companies have provided options. One of them, Sena -- the creators of elegant, hand crafted leather cases -- has an offering
<a

Now Genius has a peripheral that could, just maybe, give you a taste of that, too: the Pen Mouse. The Pen Mouse looks a lot like an ink pen, but "functions on almost any surface with the 1200 dpi tracking technology, switchable between 400 and <a

I've been pretty vocal stating my opinion that Mac makes some of the best hardware available, even if I am pretty agnostic about whether their operating system is better than Windows or not. Beyond the all metal bodies and slimmer than usual bodies, one of the things that sets Mac laptops apart from all others is their <a

Your wrists hurt, your elbows hurt, your hands cramp up...so you go for a "natural" keyboard, or you invest in one of those smooshy gel things, but it doesn't ever quite get better. Smartfish thinks they have a solution!
Rather than change your wrists (tough without very uncomfortable surgery that probably isn't covered by your HMO), Smartfish thinks the answer is to change your keyboard! Their "Engage" keyboard actually adjusts as you work on it, learning how long you keep your hands in one spot and subtly moving apart/together so your hands and wrists change position. It looks very cool <a

One of the more interesting items that they were showing off was an iPad case with a built-in Bluetooth keyboard.
The case and the keyboard are rather interesting in their own right; the combo is thin and light, and the battery life on the keyboard sounds like it will be amazing -- it has 100 days of standby time. The keyboard's keys have minimal play, and it seemed like it would be quite comfortable to use for an extended period of time. Better I love my iPad, but have yet to use it for heavy work, including writing my Gear Diary posts. Typing on the MacBook is just so much faster because of its full-size keyboard. Later today I will post a review for a credit card size Bluetooth keyboard that works with the iPhone and iPad. Although that keyboard works really well, I have a hard time using a phone sized qwerty keyboard. The same company, EFO has recently released an iPad case that contains a full size Bluetooth keyboard. Now, you can easily carry your iPad, flip it open and type away.
<p
