When the made for TV movie, Knight Rider (2008) came out earlier this year, I had issues with the new KITT (see my post), and I had completely written off watching any future Knight Rider productions. Now based on the pilot movie doing so well in ratings (thanks to all of us being curious), NBC had green-lighted the TV series. Last week, NBC revealed the newly redesigned Attack KITT and released a preview of the TV show at Comic-Con 2008. It looks like NBC did take Knight Rider fan comments seriously, and they went back to the drawing board on how they could make the TV series better than what was seen in the pilot movie, as the one minute preview footage looks pretty cool.  I don’t want to spoil any surprises, just watch the promo video below:

eBay bidding on the 1984 Pontiac Trans Am KITT car closes today at 1:05 pm EST. The high bid was $53,000is currently $41,400. Before bidding, check out our very own Allen Hong’s opinion on this car. His observation is that the dash is a season 1 & 2 model with two TV screens and that season 4’s dash had one TV. Allen also has some interesting observations on the fuel cap. One of the KITT cars from the popular mid-80’s TV Show “Knight Rider” is up for auction until June 17 on eBay Motors. According to The Hartford Courant, the executor of slain Greenwich businessman Andrew Kissel has placed the vehicle up for auction. The starting bid is only $26,000 which seems like such a small price to pay for a slice of American TV history. Recently this car was also featured in the movie “The Benchwarmers” with Adam Sandler. This is not the first time the car has been up for auction. According to The Courant, the car went up for auction months ago but came down due to authenticity questions. The executor of the estate did some additional research and determined the car is one of the handful of KITT cards used in the 1980s series “Knight Rider”.
