Stuff for the iPhone! Stuff for the iPad! Stuff for Samsung. And MacBook Air and Sony-Ericsson! Yup, that’s what the folks at USBFever are laying on you this week. You should go there once in a while to view in awe the plethora of stuff they offer, but to save you a wee bit of time every week, we list what they release just for that week. (Which gives you an idea of what my definition of “plethora” is.)
And the full list for this week iiiiiiis . . .

Beyond hamming it up with wandering oompah bands at Mobile World Congress, Helena and I managed to get hands-on time with some of the new devices and technologies that will be causing a stir in 2011 and beyond!
HTC won me over with their lovely new ChaCha. After using the BlackBerry Bold for a week, with its tiny little keys that I never got used to, the generously sized keys on the ChaCha, along with its softly curved body … I so wish that my Tru SIM had been installed in one of these babies.

CES saw the release of the new Sony Ericsson Experia Arc, but tonight we got to see three new Experias: the neo, the pro and the long-awaited PLAY — the Playstation phone. Oh my.
I had a chance to attend the press conference where these were introduced, and a moment to fondle all three.
The Experia neo: The phone I am most excited about personally is the neo; it has a beautiful screen and an amazing camera that works well in even the worst lighting situations. This phone is very media focused, and it comes equipped with HDMI support, an 8 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The camera… Continue reading on Gear Diary ...

The folks at Just Another Mobile Monday have published a cool review on the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220 Stereo Bluetooth Headset.
Says Ragart in the review –
Before we jump into this review, let’s try and set aside all the problems we might have with Bluetooth and its software implementations. Forget the fact that the iPhone doesn’t really support it well, or that it can drain your battery like a leech on blood pudding. Let’s think about how limited a lot of the hardware is. You’ve got your Plantronics 590A or your Etymotic ety8’s, but both these solutions lock you into a certain kind of form factor. They’re earbuds that you can’t change, or they’re big headphones that can be cumbersome to tuck away when

What appears to be a Sony Ericsson TM506 with T-Mobile carrier branding has shown up via a forum posting in Howardforums. This 3G phone would be noteworthy as the first Sony Ericsson sold by T-Mobile in quite some time. The FCC specifications unearthed by PhoneScoop suggest that the TM506 has dual-band GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and probably 1800 as well. On the data side, PhoneScoop reported that it also offers up WCDMA 1700/2100 making it eligible for T-Mobile USA usage. More pics on the next page.

New pictures of the Sony Ericsson F305 have just sprouted forth via the Unofficial Sony Ericsson blog. The Sony Ericsson F305 is a quad-band GSM phone with EDGE data speeds. This is a mid-level phone whose claim to fame is gaming features. There will be three pre-loaded games – bowling, Bass fishing & Jockey. The games aren’t the attraction though – it’s how you can play them. The Sony allows for you to control the game through the motion of the phone (similar to a Wii controller). There is an included music player and rear facing stereo speakers. Watch for an official Sony announcement this Tuesday June 17th. A picture and info on the Sony Ericsson S302 is on the next page.Link: Sony Ericsson F305 via GSMARENA … Continue reading on Gear Diary ...

While we were still sitting eating the remnants of our lunch, R from Sony-Ericsson gave a presentation on their new SE XPERIA X1. W00t! He gave us demos of the interface and most of the issues we had seen with lagging screens (mainly from Mobile World Congress reports) seem to have been resolved. They said it at the time, that this was not a finished device and that it was a work in progress, so it is great to see that progress is indeed being made.We tried to pin him down on a date for the release, but second half of the year was as specific as he would get. We did find out that the name XPERIA does not specifically mean Windows Mobile devices, it could be other mobile OSs; but all Windows Mobile Sony Ericsson products will be XPERIAs. Got it?
