My wife bought a cute Vaio last year with a 13.3" screen and a Core i5 processor and a really nice pink finish. Point is - in spite of how much I beat up Sony for a variety of reasons, I am a loyal customer for one huge reason - they make great stuff.
So when I had the opportunity to evaluate their new S-series laptops as part of the 'Charged and Ready' program, I leaped <a

On pre-order day I ordered myself a Pixel Qi WiFi model and my brother a LCD WiFi model. Unfortunately due to some broken hardware reported during initial shipping, mine has yet to even post a ship date. Today the LCD model arrived on our doorstep and so far I can tell you it was worth the wait. After all the bad mojo Notion Ink was experiencing, I think the tablet was well worth the wait and heartbreak, well at least as far as I can tell only handling it for about an hour or so. The Droid Incredible measures roughly 4.6" tall x 2.3" wide x 0.5" thick; it's slightly thinner than an iPhone, with a screen that puts the iPhone's to shame <a

I purchased the unit from one of the jewellery stores here in Sydney after much haggling, and carried my plain brown box through the city back to the train stop. I found it a bit odd to carry a large shopping bag from a fine jewellery store through the city, so I opted to carry my new prize just <a

It is developed mainly for the hardcore gamers who love to experience every bit of the game, and play it in true sense. It is designed to provide the best racing experience to the PlayStation gaming station users and PC gamers. Having used the G25 in the past, I would say I am a very happy owner of the fantastic G25 racing wheel made by Logitech. The G27 racing wheel from Logitech is everything a racing simulation fan would ever want; leather-clad steering wheel, two motors for force feedback, manual gearbox, with clutch pedal.<p

Answer- the Dell Adamo XPS. (It is actually thinner in places.)
The Adamo XPS is one of the more unusual notebooks designs we have ever seen. It is remarkably thin, has an unusual mechanism for unlocking the device and a design that is eye-catching. Xavier Lanier of For me, the iPhone was love at first multi-touch. When I bought one exactly two years ago this week, I thought that I would NEVER want to try another device. EVER. Since then I've had an iPhone "Classic", a 3G and now a 3GS. The iPhone 3GS is amazing. It is fast, it has huge storage and... it's an iPhone!
BUT... Apple's shenanigans lately got me thinking. I've started wondering about the longevity of the platform a bit and, more importantly, as someone who uses a tremendous number of Google products including Gmail and Google Voice, I've started wondering if these services will continue to be crippled on the iPhone.
So... I started looking around. The result... except for a few iPhone app reviews I have pending, my iPhone will be in a drawer for the time being. In its place... <a

I am also fixing my father’s Fall 2008 15” MacBook Pro, and it's in the process of whisking its way here from Houston. I’ll be writing a comparative review of it, my mom’s June 2009 MBP and my 13” Unibody MacBook.
The specs for mom’s MBP include:

3.06gHz Core2Duo Processor

<a

The exterior is described as a "magnesium-aluminum-alloy case in a white imprint finish," but that barely describes it; the look is stunning. The touch pad is a mirrored surface, and it runs Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit). Measuring 4.17" tall x 2.0" wide x 0.85" thick and weighing 5.34 ounces, it might be easy to dismiss this little beast as too thick and too heavy. But just like a story with a surprise twist at the end, there is more to this quad-band Windows Mobile Standard 6.1 device than first assumed. <a

The device is shipping now; and if you ordered one, you should be getting yours shortly.
Case in point - JAMM editor and fellow Gear Diary Team Member, Doug Goldring, has posted a Kindle 2 unboxing. Says Brother Goldring in the article,
...Inside the specially made box, there is a whirlwind of letters, as though all of the words in the English language have been sucked into this small, cardboard rectangle, to be thrust into the thin strip of plastic and metal lying within.
<a

Doug: I had a nice surprise in the mail the other day when I tore open a Fed Ex envelope to find the HTC Touch Pro. By coincidence, as you may have noticed, Lauren and Sue (for you Gear Diary readers, they are both contributors at JAMM) both also picked up the HTC Touch Pro earlier this month. So, we thought it would be fun for all of us to share our thoughts together on this new device. The Touch Pro is the latest offering from HTC and the successor to my previous phone, the Sprint Mogul. We’ll take a closer look at all of the features of the phone, including the new Touch Flo 3D interface. Today, though, we just wanted to take a quick look at what is in the box and share a few preliminary thoughts.<img

The MacBook seems the most changed with new aluminum casing and beefier video and storage specifications. Turns out all the hype about "carving a laptop from a brick of aluminum" was interesting speculation. Apple is indeed using the manufacturing process that they used to make the MacBook Air so slim - but there doesn't seem to be any magic aluminum carving potion beyond sharing the same manufacturing process. So far as I've seen, these laptops are not Apple's much ballyhooed margin buster as evidenced by the chorus of complaints about the lack of an expected sub $800 model. New MacBook's Announced: $1299. 13.3" <a
